Ann Turkel

Her home is with her family in Beverly Hills, California with Samantha and Olivia. Ann Turkel, who was married with Richard Harris for eight years before he divorced her 20 years ago, is still trying to come to terms with the loss of Richard Harris. Turkel was born in the midst of a Jewish family and was raised with her mom in Manhattan. At she was 16 she was in the midst of studying with Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton Both at the Neighborhood playhouse, as well as at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. She credits the encouragement that she received from her mother. Ann studied acting, dance as well as voice during her childhood. Ann began her acting training at 16 years old, working alongside Sandy Meisner and Philip Burton. At the age of 16, Ann began singing along with her classmates and forming a rock and roll band. Ann was discovered when she was performing at the Vogue Fashion Show together with her band. Within the next week, Vogue's editor-in chief Diana Vreeland had Ann shoot her very first Vogue cover with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann became one of most coveted models of all time, and her work was featured in the top fashion magazines Vogue Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. Ann became a popular model for Europe, Japan and other world markets for 2 years. Ann was the face of giants in cosmetics such as Max Factor Revlon or Chanel.
